Sifu Kenny Perez is a world renowned martial artist and tai chi expert with 52 years of experience. He trained in Beijing, China under top masters and coaches, and is a pioneer who helped bring the Chinese martial art of Wushu to Arizona.

​

Sifu Perez is a certified "Medical Tai Chi Instructor" has been a keynote speaker at various Tai Chi health symposiums. Sifu Perez is the U.S. "Senior Games"  director of Tai Chi and  the state commissioner for the "Senior Games" -Tai Chi event and is also a member of the U.S. Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

 

Under the guidance of Coach Wu Bin, Perez trained alongside talented classmates Jet Li and Donnie Yen. Sifu Perez is the only U.S. wushu athlete to be awarded the ranking of 8th Duan under Chinas' Master-Coach Wu Bin— his most notable achievement to date.

Along with teaching classes at DMA Tai Chi Fitness & Wellness center, he is an adjunct faculty member at Glendale Community College. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Spanish.

-5 time U.S. Wushu Team member

- The 1st U.S. produced Wushu training series. 1984

-State, National and International Wushu/Kungfu Champion

-Author of the book "Wushu Skills".

-Founder of North American Wushu Association-NAWA

-Contributing writer to many magazine and book collaborations worldwide. 

-Certified IWuF judge

-Actor/choreographer/stuntman in 6 motion pictures, television, Cable and stage.

-1st non-asian to be admitted to Mainland China in 1981 (after the revolutionary years) for training in Wu Shu.

Mr. Perez has performed and choreographed works in many parts of the US as well as Mexico, China, Hong Kong, Germany, Canada, Bahamas, Haiti and Ukraine. He has worked in support of Wushu's inclusion into the Olympics and has made great strides in the unification of the Chinese Martial Arts.  Master Perez is also an actor/stuntman registered in Imdb and hkmdb here are links:
